Layton Labs AB
Privacy policy
Last updated 26 June 2026
This policy explains how Layton Labs AB handles your personal data when you visit laytonlabs.se and get in touch with us. We collect as little as possible, use no tracking tools, and never sell your data.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Layton Labs AB, Swedish company registration number 559590-8202, based in Stockholm, Sweden. If you have questions about how we handle your data, reach us at [email protected].
What we collect
- When you leave your email in the form: your email address and the optional message you choose to write.
- Automatically when the form is submitted: your IP address, browser information (user agent), referring page (referer) and a timestamp. We keep this for security and to prevent spam and abuse.
- If you click "Book a meeting": we receive a notification with your approximate location (city, region, country) and IP address, and you are sent on to Google Calendar to book the time. The booking itself is handled by Google.
We use no web analytics, no tracking cookies and no advertising cookies. We do not profile you.
Cookies
We use a single functional cookie, lang, which remembers your language choice (Swedish or English) for up to a year. It is needed for the site to show the right language and is not used for tracking. No other cookies are set.
Why we process your data, and the legal basis
- To reply to your inquiry and follow up on a possible project. Legal basis: your consent when you give us your email, together with our legitimate interest in responding to and following up on inquiries and taking steps toward a possible agreement.
- For security and operations (IP address, user agent, referer). Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the site from abuse.
- The language cookie is necessary for the service to work.
Who we share data with
We rely on a few carefully chosen providers (data processors) to run the site:
- Cloudflare — hosting and database. What you send in the form is stored in a database within the EU. Cloudflare also processes traffic data for security.
- Pling (plingpush.com) — a notification service that alerts us when a new inquiry comes in. For an inquiry, your email address and message are included in the notification to us.
- Google — only if you choose to book a meeting, for calendar and booking handling.
We do not share your data with anyone for marketing, and we never sell it. Where data is processed outside the EU/EEA, it is done under appropriate safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your inquiry for as long as we need to handle the conversation and a reasonable period afterward. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to your data, to have it corrected or erased, to object to or restrict processing, to receive your data (data portability), and to withdraw your consent at any time. Get in touch at [email protected] and we will help you.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, IMY.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of the page.
